I'm Kiny,
the creator of ok Zucchini. I'm a mixed media artist living in Northeren California. This is my baby, my pet project. I enjoy messing around with graphics and creating odd collages, those things you create and don't know what to with them. It hit me that they would make great products and shirts. Ok Zucchini is the outlet I needed to have some fun. I hope you enjoy the weirdness, and get a laugh.
My Story
I've been an artist for over 30 years, showing in Galleries and even in a Museum. I do very time consuming textile art right now, Hand Embroidery with sewing thread. They are detailed and tedious to create, but I love it. I do photo realistic subjects like anatomy, surgeries, body parts, mummies. I was asked to a landscape show last year for which I created over 15 pieces in a year. I am currently working on a Tarot Show, where I am the featured artist, creating all thirteen Major Arcana Cards. In betweeen working on these pieces I like to experiment and have a bit of fun.
I've always been interested in darker subject matter. I also love the absurd, the twisted and bizarre. It shows up in a lot of my work, embroidery or digital.
